FARGO, ND – The Fargo Force announce today their roster for the 2011 USHL Fall Classic in Sioux City, IA after the completion of the final tryout camp on Sunday. The final tryout camp took place at Teamsters Arena in Fargo from Thursday, August 11 to Sunday, August 14. The Fargo Force coaching staff narrowed their roster down to just 28 players which will eventually need to be cut down to 23 following the completion of the Fall Classic.
“I thought we had a competitive final camp and the players that are going on our list for the Fall Classic we feel are a very competitive group”, said Head Coach John Marks. “We are pleased with the group that we have and we obviously still have a few decisions to make on a couple of players and the Fall Classic will be their opportunity to make the final roster.”
The Fall Classic takes place in Sioux City, IA September 21-24 with the Fargo Force playing three games.
Wednesday, September 21 vs. Tri City Storm at 6:00 PM
Thursday, September 22 vs. Waterloo Blackhawks at 1:00 PM
Friday, September 23 vs. Cedar Rapids RoughRiders at 2:00 PM
“The Fall Classic is essentially an extended tryout for some players who will get a chance to play in a few games to impress us even more against other teams in the league,” added Assistant Coach Jesse Davis.
