Bulls Acquire Danny Elser from London

Press Release

BELLEVILLE, ON - Belleville Bulls Head Coach and General Manager George Burnett announced Tuesday afternoon that the team has acquired left winger Danny Elser from the London Knights in exchange for a conditional 15th round pick in 2014.

Elser is a native of Hopewell Junction, New York and a former attendee of Shattuck St. Mary's Prep School where he registered 24 goals and 27 assists in 47 games two seasons ago. Last year in his rookie season with London, Elser played in 34 games and registered five points.

With six players heading off to NHL evaluation camps this week, the Bulls add another body into the mix when they host the Ottawa 67's on Wednesday night at the Yardmen.

Earlier Tuesday, it was announced that former Sarnia Sting blueliner Ryan Zupancic will have a walk-on tryout with the club as he will patrol the blueline for Belleville.

Elser, an 18 year-old, is a former sixth round pick of London back in 2009. He'll wear number eleven for the Bulls.
