IceDogs Ink Kelly and Petersen

Press Release

Niagara IceDogs General Manager and Head Coach Marty Williamson announced that the IceDogs have signed a pair of players today in free agent forward Trevor Petersen and 2011 fifth round selection Broderick Kelly.

Petersen is a 1994 born right winger who spent last season with The Hill Academy Prep Team in Vaughn. The 16 year-old free agent signing played in 60 games for The Hill Academy last season, picking up 27 goals and 28 assists for 55 points.

Kelly was the IceDogs fifth round pick, 100th overall, in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection from the St. Catharines Falcons. The 5'10", 180 lbs. St. Catharines native played in 53 games for Falcons last year, picking up a goal and 19 assists for 20 points to go along with 38 penalty minutes.

The entire IceDogs organization would like to welcome Trevor and Broderick and we look forward to seeing them in an IceDogs jersey for years to come.
