LONDON, ONTARIO: London Knights General Manager Mark Hunter announced today that the team has released left-shooting over-aged defenseman Sacha Guimond. After clearing Ontario Hockey League waivers, Guimond was traded to the Baie Comeau Drakkars of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Guimond, 20, stands at 6.02 and weighs 175lbs and was picked up on waivers last season from Barrie after playing with the North Bay Trappers. As a member of the Knights, Guimond scored 1 goal and 6 points in 34 games last season.
