Brandon Kirk Headed to Dartmouth in 2013

The Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Brandon Kirk has committed to the University of Dartmouth of the Eastern College Athletic Conference. Dartmouth is coached by Bob Gaudet, who enters his 15th season behind the bench.

Brandon Kirk skated for the Colorado Rampage AAA program, and suited up for a handful of exhibition games for Green Bay last season. In 55 games with the Rampage, Kirk tallied 10 goals, 15 assists and 95 penalty minutes. Kirk has been a member of six state championship and four regional championships teams.

Kirk becomes the 18th Gambler on the 2011-2012 squad to commit to a NCAA Division I institution. Others include forwards Grant Arnold (Denver), Kyle Novak (Western Michigan), Alex Broadhurst (Nebraska-Omaha) Conner Honey (Denver), Nicholas Schilkey (Ohio State), Alex Kile (Michigan) Ville Jarvelainen (St Cloud St), Sam Herr (Notre Dame) Nolan LaPorte (Western Michigan), Sheldon Dries (Western Michigan) defensemen, Max Hartner (Air Force), Andy Ryan (Notre Dame), Dakota Mermis (Denver), Markus Lauridsen (St. Cloud St) Andy Welinski (Minnesota-Duluth) and goaltenders Adam Wilcox (Minnesota) and Ryan McKay (Miami of Ohio).
