The Prince George Cougars have traded 19-year-old forward Nick Buonassisi (Coquitlam, B.C.) to the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for 18-year-old defenceman Reid Jackson (Weyburn, SK) and a fifth-round pick in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft.
Last season Jackson played in 50 games for the Lethbridge Hurricanes and tallied three goals and 20 points along with 64 penalty minutes. So far this season Jackson has played in seven games and has managed one assist and 10 penalty minutes.
Buonassisi has spent his entire junior career with the Prince George Cougars and has two goals and two assists through 10 games this season.
