GONGSHOW GEAR PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCED

Press Release

The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) announced today that they have signed a one year partnership naming Gongshow Gear, Inc. the Official Lifestyle Hockey Apparel of the OJHL. As part of the agreement, Gongshow Gear will also receive naming rights for the OJHL Player of the Month Awards and will provide each of the South-East and North-West Conference Players of the Month with an apparel package that includes shirts, hats and footwear.

This season the OJHL will continue its “player-first” approach by acknowledging both a South-East Conference and North-West Conference Player of the Month, as well as a runner-up for each Conference. Beginning in September, a total of 12 OJHL stars, over the course of six months, will be honoured in front of their fans during a pre-game on-ice ceremony prior to a home game the following month. During the ceremony, each winner will receive the Gongshow Gear apparel package, as well as a commemorative award from the OJHL.

“Gongshow Gear and its line of hockey specific apparel for both men and women is quickly becoming one of the most popular product lines in the hockey world,” said OJHL Commissioner Marty Savoy. “Becoming the Official Lifestyle Hockey Apparel of the OJHL and supporting our Player of the Month Award initiative is proof of not just their great apparel line, but of their commitment to growing and supporting the sport.”

Ger McNamee, President of Gongshow Gear, Inc. expressed his excitement in the new partnership, “It is a privilege for Gongshow Gear Inc. to be the Official Lifestyle Hockey Apparel of the Ontario Junior Hockey League for the 2011-12 season. We are excited to be sharing our high quality hockey apparel, made for hockey players to wear off the ice, to OJHL hockey.”

About Gongshow Hockey, Inc.

In late 2002, three teammates from the Central Junior ‘A’ Hockey League celebrated a big win at a local Ottawa pub called Fathers and Sons. A few cold ones later, and inspired by the distinct lifestyle hockey players lived, they had an idea to make some buckets with Gongshow Hockey stitched on the front for their hockey buddies to rock around town.

Slowly but surely, word began to spread through tight-knit hockey circles about a brand that accurately represented what hockey players were all about. Soon, the lads found themselves teamed up with a roster of players united through their love and passion for the hockey lifestyle that they lived.

Today, the GSH boys feel excited and privileged to be part of such a powerful team that shares the goal of enjoying and spreading the Gongshow Lifestyle to hockey players all around the world…
