Prince Albert SK- The Prince Albert Raiders have announced that they have added forward Michal Hlinka and have released defenceman Kristaps Bazevics.
Bazevics, a native of Riga, Latvia, appeared in 2 contests for the Raiders this season, collecting 2 penalty minutes.
Hlinka was acquired by the Raiders via trade in January last season from the Moose Jaw Warriors. The Trencin, Slovakia product notched 5 goals and 5 assists last season in 45 games played. Hlinka was the Warriors first selection in the 2010 CHL European draft, 28th overall. He will arrive immediately after receiving his visa to enter Canada, which is expected to take approximately 7-10 days.
“We are pleased to bring back Michal, having spent the season in the Western Hockey League last year his transition into our line up will be seamless”, said Raiders Head Coach and General Manager Bruno Campese.
