Prince Albert SK – The Prince Albert Raiders announce that they have acquired 19-year-old defenseman Tyler Hart and 19-year-old forward Teal Burns from the Vancouver Giants in exchange for 19-year-old forward Austin Connor and 16-year-old prospect Arwin Atwal.
Connor, a native of Beechy, Saskatchewan, appeared in 5 games with the Raiders this year posting 7 penalty minutes, after registering 13 points in 59 games last season.
Arwin Atwal was drafted by the Raiders in the 8th round, 170th overall, in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft and is currently playing with the Vancouver Midget AAA Canadians.
Hart has posted 2 assists in 9 appearances this season for the Giants. Last season, the Spruce Grove, Alberta product acquired 8 points and 80 penalty minutes in 44 games played.
Burns has notched 4 assists so far this season after acquiring 20 points in the 2010-2011 campaign, splitting the season between the Portland Winterhawks and the Vancouver Giants. The Victoria, BC product was drafted in the 8th round, 156th overall by the Winterhawks in the 2007 Western Hockey League Bantam Entry Draft.
