Jérôme Rayomond, Maxime Lagacé and Philippe Halley were named today the TELUS three stars of the week for the period spanning from October 10th to the 16th.
Jérôme Raymond, the Drummondville Voltigeurs centre, is the first star. Thursday, against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, he scored 2 goals and added 2 assists for a total of 4 points in a 5-1 victory. He was named the 1st star of the game. Saturday, against the Halifax Mooseheads, he scored one goal and registered an assist. Raymond finished the week with one assist in a 4-3 overtime victory against the P.E.I. Rocket. His line on the week: 3 goals, 4 assists and a +/- of +3.
Maxime Lagacé, the P.E.I. Rocket goaltender, is the second star. Friday, Lagacé was named the first start of the game after making 35 saves in a 2-1 victory against the Moncton Wildcats. Sunday, versus the Drummondville Voltigeurs, he stopped 44 of the 48 shots, earning the third star of the game. The netminder helped the Rocket collect 3 out of a possible 4 points in the standings this weekend. He maintained a 2.40 goals-against-average and a .940 save percentage.
Victoriaville Tigres left-winger Philippe Halley is the third star. Friday, against his former club, the Gatineau Olympiques, he was named the 2nd star of the game after scoring a goal and adding an assist in a 3-2 victory. Sunday, he pulled off his first career hat trick while adding a helper in the 7-0 victory over the Saguenéens. Moreover, he registered a career high +6 rating. Halley was named the first star of that game. The Tigres are now in 1st place in the QMJHL overall standings after collecting 20 points in 15 games. Halley finished the week with a total of 4 goals, 2 assists and a +/- of +7.
