Sam Waterfield Traded to the Humboldt Broncos

Press Release

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) have completed a trade with the Humboldt Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL). Going to the Broncos is Sam Waterfield in exchange for future considerations.

"I'm not thrilled about having to move a quality player and person like Sam," said Spruce Kings General Manager, Mike Hawes. "With the new 21 man roster, I simply have no room for him here."

"He's coming off summer knee surgery and will be game ready soon," continued Hawes. "I know he will be a big asset in Humboldt, both on the ice and in the dressing room. It's a great opportunity for Sam as Humboldt is hosting this year's RBC (Junior A National Championship)."

The Prince George Spruce Kings would like to wish Sam all the best in his future hockey career and good luck this season with the Humboldt Broncos.
