SJHL POWER RANKINGS

Press Release

1-Nipawin Hawks
The Hawks have won seven of eight. They roll four lines, appear to have steady defensemen, and depth in goal.

2-Estevan Bruins
Bruins are young, have a dynamic top line, and have reeled off three wins in a row in a very tight Sherwood Conference.

3-Battlefords North Stars
Stars have won five of seven despite heavier than expected turnover. They've also been perfect in three games on the road.

4-Flin Flon Bombers
They've won three straight on home ice and are getting surprising offensive contribution from a number of their defensemen. Jay Young has also really emerged.

5-Notre Dame Hounds
Hounds have got a gem in rookie goalie Ty Reichenbach. They are hoping to be a tougher team to play against as Kevin White puts his stamp on the club.

6-Humboldt Broncos
They are still working out the kinks. Plenty of talent, but not a lot of chemistry...yet.

7-Yorkton Terriers
A good start tempered with two disappointing efforts in La Ronge over the weekend.

8-Weyburn Red Wings
Just 16-goals scored through the first six games and coming off a blowout loss to Notre Dame.

9-La Ronge Ice Wolves
The weekend sweep of Yorkton is encouraging in what was, otherwise, a discouraging start.

10-Kindersley Klippers
They've lost three in a row and five of six. The return of Brennan Bosovich and Wheaton King from the WHL helps, however.

11-Melville Millionaires
In the last couple of games they are showing signs of keeping the goals against down.

12-Melfort Mustangs
One win in seven games and several trades already as the make-over starts early.
