Terriers’ Wold named Pork Peak Performer for September

Press Release

Portage Terriers’ forward Brent Wold is the inaugural winner of the MJHL’s Pork Peak Performer award.

The Pork Peak Performer award, which is presented by the Manitoba Pork Council, focuses on MJHL players who display a healthy lifestyle, community involvement and high hockey skills, explained MJHL Commissioner Kim Davis.

Wold, 18, lead the league in scoring in September with 13 points (4 goals and 9 assists). He and his teammates also participated in the annual Terry Fox run and did fundraising for the United Way campaign.

A Manitoba Pork Council representative will present a gift package to Wold on Friday, October 7 (5 p.m.) just prior to the Terriers’ Showcase game at the MTS Iceplex.

“Our league is thrilled to have excellent corporate partners such as the Manitoba Pork Council who value the objective of celebrating the achievements of our players,” said Davis.
