Cortellessa and picks acquired from Windsor

Press Release

The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League have announced that they have acquired left wing Anthony Cortellessa (kort-ell-ess-uh), Owen Sound's second round pick in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection, Sault Ste. Marie's second round pick in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection and a seventh round pick in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection from the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for left wing Chris Marchese and a fifth round pick in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection.

Marchese collected six goals and 10 assists in 29 games with the Otters this season. In 69 career OHL games, Marchese tallied nine goals and 17 assists for 26 points. He was originally selected by the Otters with the 11th overall pick of the 2010 OHL Priority Selection.

Coming to Erie is Cortellessa, a former teammate of Marchese with the Toronto Marlboros, who have also produced current Otters Adam Pelech and Connor Brown. The 5-foot-9, 183-pound left wing appeared in 35 games for the Spitfires and was a 10th round choice by Windsor in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection. He was honored as the OHL Academic Player for the West Division last week.
