A few teams make moves on first day

A few teams made moves during the opening day of the trade period. In the biggest move of the day, the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada traded defenseman Jonathan Narbonne (92-09-16) to the Cataractes for 1st and 3rd round picks in 2012.

Defenseman Mikael Langlois (93-03-24) was sent to Cape Breton so that Baie-Comeau could obtain their 7th round pick in 2012. Alexandre Durette (92-03-02) and the 1st round pick of the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in 2012 were sent to Val-d'Or for Jean-François Leblanc (93-03-03).

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan traded their 4th round pick in 2013 to the Drummondville Voltigeurs for their 5th round pick in 2013.
