Whitby Fury forward Ryan Kirkup will make his debut tonight with the OHL's Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds during the club's home game versus the Sudbury Wolves.
The 16-year old native of Scarborough, Ontario is a product of the Markham Majors midget program and recorded 21 goals and 53 points in 60 games played for the club last season, as well as another six points during the 2011 OHL Cup. This past summer he was drafted by the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the 8th round, 145th overall, of the OHL Priority Selection.
Thus far this season with the Fury, the 5'8", 167 lbs. Kirkup has recorded two goals and seven points in 20 games played.
