Press Release
MUSKEGON, Mich. – Each USHL team gets 30 home games per season, but this year is an exception for the Muskegon Lumberjacks.
Due to a conflict, the Lumberjacks’ scheduled road game at Indiana Saturday, Jan. 28 will now take place at Muskegon’s L.C. Walker Arena. The game is set for 7:15 p.m. and all usual game day procedures will be followed.
The NFL’s Super Bowl festivities made it problematic for Indiana to host the Jacks at Pepsi Coliseum. In the eyes of the USHL, the Ice will remain the official “home” team, even though Jacks supporters will get an extra opportunity to watch their team live.
The addition of the Jan. 28 tilt makes for an action-filled week at L.C. Walker Arena. The recently-announced USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game will feature the best young American hockey talent under one roof Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 7:15 p.m. Also, the Lumberjacks host the defending Clark Cup champion Dubuque Fighting Saints in the regularly scheduled game Sunday, Jan. 29 at 5:15 p.m.
Call the Lumberjacks’ box office at (231) 724-JACK(5225) for tickets and information. You can also log onto StarTickets.com to buy online, or visit any area Meijer location.
The Jacks wrap up the pre-Christmas portion of their schedule this Sunday as they host the Indiana Ice at the special start time of 5:15 p.m. 107 MUS will be in the house assisting Coats For Kids; fans will receive a free children’s game voucher for every coat contributed.
Finishing a busy month, the Jacks will renew a Muskegon tradition with Carload Night on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 7:15 p.m. Each vehicle will be charged a flat $40 fee for entry to the game against Indiana!
