OHL Member Clubs Raise Over $45,000 for Remembrance Day and Veteran’s Day

The Ontario Hockey League is proud to announce the results of a variety of member club Remembrance Day and Veteran’s Day fundraising initiatives that raised over $45,000 in support of local charities.

Six OHL clubs participated in fundraising promotions with four clubs creating special theme jersey’s for auction including the Kitchener Rangers, London Knights, Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors, and Ottawa 67’s, while the Saginaw Spirit, and Sarnia Sting raised funds as part of their special gamenight activities.

Benefiting charities include the 78th Fraser Highlanders Fort Conestoga Garrison & K-W Poppy Fund, the Remember November 11 & London Military Family Resource Center, Veteran Affairs and the Royal Canadian Legion in Mississauga, Legion groups in Ottawa, the Yellow Ribbon Guard in Saginaw, and the Poppy Fund in Sarnia.
