QMJHL announces RDS mid-season rookie

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in collaborationwith RDS today announced the RDS mid-season rookie award-winners.

RDS and the QMJHL are longstanding partners. The partnership’s goal is to celebrate the talent and potential of the next generation of hockey players.

Rookies will be honoured during a pre-game ceremony with the presentation of a beautiful plaque thatrecognizes their accomplishments.

''RDS is intent on highlighting the talent of young hockey players throughout Québec. We salute the determination, persistence and ambition of these 17 first-year players, whohave made a significant difference in the first half of the QJMHL schedule. We wish them the continued success they deserve for the remainder of the season'', said Patrick Jutras, Vice President, Sales and Marketing of RDS.

Finally, the RDS Rookie of the Year will receive the RDS Trophy at the Golden Puck Awards Gala, which will be held in Montreal on April 4, 2012.
