Press Release

The Guelph Storm ownership and management have announced that they have reached an agreement to extend Head Coach Scott Walker’s contract through the 2013-2014 season. Walker assumed head coaching duties in December 2010 and has compiled a record of 30-22-1-5.

“Coach Walker is one of the best and brightest coaches in the hockey business.” GM Mike Kelly stated. “We are confident he has the ability to develop championship players and championship teams.”

“I am thrilled and excited to follow this group of young, talented hockey players through the next two years of their careers together.” Head Coach Scott Walker said. “I am looking forward to continuing the championship tradition that this city and team are used to.”

In early December Walker will join Team Canada at the 2012 World Junior Championship as an Assistant Coach.
