Press Release
FARGO, ND –Fargo Force forward Colton Hargrove has committed to play college hockey at Western Michigan University in the fall of 2012.
The second year forward from Rockwall, TX has played in 34 games for the Force so far this season putting up 23 points with 9 goals and 14 assists. He has really stepped up his game as of late with 12 of those 23 points coming in the last 11 games. Hargrove is just 4 points away from surpassing his point total from last season where he posted just 27 points in 56 games played.
“It felt good to get the commitment finally,” said Hargrove. “Now I can stop worrying about that and worry about just playing my game.” He indicated the coaching staff was one of the main reasons for choosing Western Michigan. “I made my decision because of the great coaching staff at WMU and it’s a good school. They are going to have a good team the next few years and I can’t wait to play there.”
With Hargrove’s commitment coming just two days after Bryn Chyzyk’s commitment to UND, there are now nine players on the Fargo Force with Division 1 college commitments. Hargrove will be joining two former Fargo Force players at WMU, Luke Witkowski (2008-09) and Garrett Haar (2010-11).
