Oil Kings Take Centre Stage

Press Release

Edmonton, AB - The ice at Rexall Place is about to get the royal treatment. For the first time ever, the Edmonton Oil Kings logo has been placed at centre ice in honour of the team's continued success in the 2012 WHL playoffs.

"This is a great moment for the hockey club as we form our own unique identity within our home." said Oil Kings Governor Patrick LaForge. "The logo at centre ice serves as a tremendous source of pride for the team and our fans. It represents yet another benchmark for our young franchise in this historic season."

"For our players it's a great honour to see our logo at centre ice." said Oil Kings General Manager Bob Green "It reaffirms to them and to our fans the pride we have in calling Rexall Place home. This arena has proven to be a difficult place for our opponents to play all season long and we hope it will continue to be."
