Team Central rallied from two goals down to secure a 4-3 win over Team North.
Team Central never led in the game until netting the game winner. Team Central fell behind 3-1 after a goal by Team North's Andrew Benyo at 6:22 in the third period. Team Central knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Andy Thurby at 13:46 in the third period. Team Central netted the game winner at 16:58 in the third period on a goal by Thurby.
Team Central was led by Mike Lozano, who had one goal and one assist.
Team Central made Team North's netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, racking up 42 shots and forcing 38 saves. Schuyler Ferguson made 23 stops and Alex Lazarski made 15.
Team Central also got points from Nikolas Sakellaropoulos, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Team Central also got a goal from Jeremy Edwards as well. More assists for Team Central came via Collin Warner and Kerry McGlynn, who contributed one a piece.
Team North did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time.
Team North additionally got points from Eric Woodward, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Andrew Carlson, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Team North were Trevor Voelker and Drew Crandall, who each chipped in one.
Mitchell Fernsler took the win and made 11 saves before being replaced by Michael Meadows who made nine saves. Team Central finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-1 with the man advantage. Team North registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities.
