FRONTENACS SIGN MORRISON

Press Release

General Manager Doug Gilmour announced today that the club has signed free agent overage goaltender Mike Morrison who played with the Peterborough Petes last season. Morrison appeared in the majority of the Petes contests, playing in 40 games with a record of 10-19-5 with a 3.87 goals against average and an .890 save percentage. He also collected a shutout against the Guelph Storm on October 14th.

“Mike is a proven OHL netminder who has played in the league four years and is a quality starter,” said Gilmour. “With Mike in goal, we have the opportunity now to look at shaping our future in net for the hockey club.”

Originally selected by the Kitchener Rangers in the 6th round, 121st over all in the 2008 OHL Priority selection, Morrison was dealt to the Petes before the start of the 2011-12 season.
