Bulldogs Announce Player Moves, Acquire Deo

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs would like to announce that earlier this off-season, the team named RJ Reed as the player that completed the “future considerations” part of the Dylan Nowakowski trade with the Brooks Bandits of the AJHL.

Today, the Alberni Valley Bulldogs announce the rights to RJ Reed have been traded to the Calgary Mustangs of the AJHL for 1992-born goalie Jay Deo.

Deo, originally from Langley, BC, completed his second full season with the Mustangs. In the 2011/12 season, Deo appeared in 55 games posting a 28-17-7 record with a GAA of 3.02 and a .910 save percentage. Deo added 2 shutouts. In Deo’s rookie campaign the season before, he also posted an impressive record of 17-11-1 with a GAA of 2.76 and a .920 save percentage.

In a separate transaction, the Alberni Valley Bulldogs have also traded 1992-born forward Tyler Berkholtz to the Trail Smoke Eaters for future considerations.

The Bulldogs would like to thank Tyler for his contributions to the community and our organization over the last three seasons. We wish Tyler all the best in his future aspirations.
