Press Release
Another NCAA Division I school that didn't roster a BCHL graduate last season has changed that for the coming season.
Coquitlam Express forward Mitch Nardi has inked with Lake Superior State University. The Lakers have not carried a BCHL-developed player in several seasons. Nardi's commitment comes shortly after Dexter Dancs of the Penticton Vees agreed to attend the University of Michigan, who also did not have a BCHL alum on their roster last season.
Nardi, a native of Hamilton, Ont., registered 14 goals and 30 assists in 56 games last year for the Express. The 6-foot, 180-pound centre finished seventh in team scoring and also posted 52 minutes in penalties.
The 19-year-old is one of five Express players slated to return to the lineup who finished in the top-seven in team scoring last year.
