GRIZZLIES COMPLETE MULTI-PLAYER DEAL

Press Release

The Victoria Grizzlies have completed a multi-player deal with the Westside Warriors.

General Manager and Head Coach Bill Bestwick pulled the trigger on a multi-player lead sending 1992 goaltender Garrett Rockafellow and 1993 defenseman Braxton Bilous to Westside in exchange for 1993 goalie Brady Rouleau and 1993 forward Garrett Skrbich.

Rouleau was a standout for the Cowichan Valley Capitals last season and the Victoria Grizzlies are thrilled to add such an impressive starting goaltender for the start of the 2012 – 13 season. Rouleau is 6’1 and 175 lbs.

Garrett Skrich enters his second season in the BCHL and measures at an impressive 6’, 200 lbs with good experience and offensive capacity. Skrbich is already committed to Princeton of the NCAA for 2013 and will be counted on to raise the compete level and depth of the forward position.

“The addition of both Brady and Garrett will strengthen our roster for September,” states Bestwick. “Both players have proven ability and will compete at the highest level on a consistent basis.”

The Victoria Grizzlies want to thank both Garrett Rockafellow and Braxton Bilous for their commitment and service to the Victoria Grizzlies and wish them success in the future.
