HITMEN AND SILVERTIPS MAKE TRADE

Press Release

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen announced today the club has acquired defenceman Darian Henry from the Everett Silvertips in exchange for forward Luke Gordon.

“Darian is a big and raw defenceman who has played in the league and has a chance of making our team,” commented Calgary Hitmen Executive VP, Alternate Governor and General Manager Kelly Kisio. ““This move gives Luke a fresh start and a chance to get the ice time that he wanted. We wish him the best in Everett.”

Henry, a native of Strathmore, Alberta, just finished his first season in the Western League Hockey where he recorded one assist along with 28 penalty minutes over 16 games. The 6-4, 165-pound, 17-year-old was selected by the Silvertips in the seventh round, 139th overall, in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft.
