The Maritime Junior Hockey League and Premier sponsor Kent released the 2012-2013 MHL regular season schedule on Friday. The schedule features 52 games for each of the 11 MHL teams again this season. Regular season play begins on Thursday, September 13th as the Weeks Crushers host the Amherst Ramblers at 7:30pm.
After Thursday’s opener, a busy weekend of hockey is in store for MHL fans. Three games go on Friday night as the Lumberjacks host the Mariners, the Tigers host the Bearcats and the Slammers host the Shipbuilders. Saturday night is a busy one with five games. The Slammers are off to Amherst to face the Ramblers, the Crushers and Capitals square off for their first match, the Shipbuilders are in Dieppe to take on the Commandos, the Bearcats are in Miramichi for a match with the Timberwolves and the Lumberjacks are in Yarmouth for a second game with the Mariners.
