The Ottawa 67's Hire Mario Dupuis as Trainer

The Ottawa 67’s today announced the appointment of Mario Dupuis to the position of Trainer. Dupuis is a highly experienced emergency medical professional, with 25-years service as an Operation Commander with the Ottawa Paramedic Service, complimented by a strong hockey background. He is a level 1, 2 and 3 Paramedic Trainer course instructor, Master Trainer for the Ottawa District Hockey Association, and last season he served as Trainer for the CJHL’s Cumberland Grads Jr. “A” team.

“We are delighted to have a person with Mario’s qualifications on our team,” said 67’s Coach and General Manager Chris Byrne. “His passion for hockey and professional skill-set will be a great addition to the Ottawa 67’s.”

In addition to his role with the Grads, Dupuis’ background includes instruction and evaluation at multiple levels of minor hockey in the Ottawa region. The fluently bilingual Orleans residents’ extensive academic background includes a Bachelor degree in Health Sciences, Pre-Hospital Care; and certificates in advanced live support and emergency medical care.

“I am excited to join the Ottawa 67's and the OHL for the 2012-13 season,” said Dupuis. “I look forward to working with a great organization and taking-on the new challenges that this opportunity will bring.”
