RED WINGS BRING CAMERON ABOARD

The Hamilton Red Wings announced recently that they have hired longtime OJHL coach Dan Cameron as the club's new Head Coach for the 2012-13 season.

Cameron has been a longtime junior and minor hockey coach in the Greater Toronto Area and included during his OJHL stints most recently are stops in Pickering, Mississauga, Toronto (Jr. Canadiens) and Georgetown.

During his time behind the Georgetown Raiders bench, Cameron led to the club to a Dudley Hewitt Cup title and spot in the 2005 RBC Cup that was held in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. While last season, he would take over the Pickering Panthers bench midway through the season and lead them to a playoff berth and a surprising game one victory over the heavily favoured Toronto Lakeshore Patriots in the first round.
