Spruce Kings 2012-13 Season Schedule

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings and the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) have released the 2012-13 season schedule. The season will consist of 56 games played between September 7, 2012 and March 9, 2013.

The 2012-13 season will start with the BCHL Showcase in Chilliwack featuring all 16 teams playing a pair of games at the home of the Chilliwack Chiefs – Prospera Centre. The Spruce Kings will play the Merritt Centennials at noon on Saturday September 8th and the Langley Rivermen at 6pm on Sunday September 9th.
The Spruce Kings have a generous helping of prime night games with a total of 21 games falling on a Friday or Saturday night in Prince George and the same number on the road. The Spruce Kings will also play 3 Thursday night feature games and 3 Sunday matinees in the Coliseum.

Home opening weekend will see the Trail Smoke Eaters in the Coliseum Friday September 14th followed by the Penticton Vees Saturday September 15th. The Spruce Kings will play Interior Conference teams once at home and once on the road. Playing out of the Mainland Division of the Coastal Conference this year, the Prince George Spruce Kings will play eight games each against the Langley Rivermen, Chilliwack Chiefs, Surrey Eagles and Coquitlam Express while welcoming the five Island Division teams to the Coliseum once.
Heading into the post season, the Spruce Kings will play their final four games at home in the month of March. The season will start with four preseason games including a pair of neutral site games in Chase, BC against the Trail Smoke Eaters on Tuesday August 28 and Wednesday August 29. The Spruce Kings will also travel to Grande Prairie on Friday August 31 before hosting the Storm of the Alberta Junior Hockey League at 7pm Saturday September 1st.
