Storm hire goaltending coach

Press Release

Guelph Storm General Manager Mike Kelly announced today that Matt Smith has been hired as the club’s Goaltending Coach effective immediately.

Kelly stated, “Matt worked with our goalies during training camp last year and both Scott Walker and myself had a chance to watch him work with the Guelph Jr. B’s last year. It was during this time that he impressed us both a great deal. We are pleased to have him in this important role.”

Smith, a member of the Kitchener Rangers 2008 OHL Championship team, also spent time in the CIS and Junior B and is currently owner and President of Matt Smith Goaltending Inc.
