TEAM WEST ANNOUNCES U-17 HEAD SCOUT

REGINA & WINNIPEG – Saskatchewan Hockey Association and Hockey Manitoba are pleased to announce the Head Scout for Team West for participation in the 2013 World U17 Tournament in Victoriaville/Drummondville, Quebec, December 28th – January 5th, 2013.

Rob Maclachlan, 54, of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan has accepted the role of the Head Scout position for Team West. Rob is currently the Assistant General Manager of Hockey Operations with the Moose Jaw Warriors in the WHL, and will be entering his 7th season with the club. In his time with the Moose Jaw Warriors he has helped secure 7 years of highly touted draft crops and helped the club win the 2011-2012 Eastern Division in the WHL. Rob’s commitment to excellence and eye for talent has helped Draft players such as Morgan Rielly, Quinton Howden, and Travis Hamonic. He has been involved in the Sask First Program as Coach and an Evaluator.
