Wildcats to play in Bouctouche

The Moncton Wildcats are pleased to announce that they will be hosting the Halifax Mooseheads at 7PM on Friday, August 24th at the brand new JK Irving Center in Bouctouche New Brunswick. This will be the Wildcats 3rd exhibition game of the pre-season against a team that went to the 3rd round of playoffs last season.

“A lot of people from Bouctouche and Kent County are Wildcats fans and very excited to be able to experience a game right here in our brand new arena” said Daniel Allain the Manager of the J. K. Irving Center. “This will be great for the young kids in minor hockey to experience this level of hockey at home.”

This is the first time that the Wildcats have played a game in Bouctouche and look forward to it being a spirited affair between two rivals. The Wildcats are excited to showcase all of the new talent that has joined the team through the draft with two new European standouts Ivan Barbashev and Dmitrij Jaskin. Also joining the team are three players to complete the Gormley trade coming from Memorial Cup Champion Shawinigan Cataracts: Alex Dubeau, Jonathan Racine and Yannick Veilleux. Local veteran players Allain and Alex Saulnier from Cape Pele will also be on hand.

The J. K. Irving Center is a $20.4 Million Dollar facility that is state of the art with geothermal heating and cooling. It has a seating capacity of 1084 and a total capacity of 1500. It also houses the Town Hall, a public gym and a 3000 square foot multi-purpose center.
