Oil Kings Trade Sieben to Vancouver

Edmonton, AB - Edmonton Oil Kings General Manager Bob Green announced Monday the Oil Kings have traded 1994-born forward Tristan Sieben to the Vancouver Giants in exchange for Vancouver's 6th round pick in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft. The 5'9", 187 pound Edmonton native posted 14 points and 32 penalty minutes in his rookie campaign helping the Oil Kings to their first WHL Championship in modern franchise history.

"Tristan is a local who did well as part of our championship team last season." said Green "He is well liked and we felt that with the work he put in this summer, he deserves an opportunity like this to take on a larger role with a new club. We wish him all the best"

The WHL regular season opener set for Thursday, September 20th at 7:00 p.m. against the Kootenay Ice. Fans can be a part of history as the Oil Kings raise their first WHL Championship banner of the modern era to the rafters of Rexall Place. The first 7500 fans at the game will receive a commemorative replica WHL Championship Mini Banner!
