PEI Rocket Announce Final Roster

The PEI Rocket made its last cut and the team is now down to the roster it will start the season with.  Forward Connor Currie was released from the team yesterday to bring roster numbers to 14 forwards, 7 defensemen and 2 goalies.  Of the 23 players, 15 are returning and 6 are rookies.  2 others, new additions, played in the league last year and came to the team via a trade and free agent signing.  Yan-Pavel Laplante will be out of action until Jan 2013 or later.

The Rocket plays its last two exhibition games this weekend with a home and home series with the Moncton Wildcats.  The two teams play in Moncton Friday night and the Wildcats travel to the Charlottetown Civic Centre Sunday afternoon for a 2 o’clock start (note start time).
