Spruce Kings Add Ron St. Clair to the Broadcast Team

Press Release sent to the World of Junior Hockey

“We’re excited to be adding Ron St. Clair into the mix,” said Spruce Kings Communications Director, Ron Gallo. “He brings experience, knowledge and professionalism to the team’s broadcast. He will also be able to work as a mentor for everybody that contributes to the fan enjoyment of the game.”

Ron St. Clair has called over 1500 junior and major junior games in his broadcasting career. Along with calling the game of hockey, St. Clair’s other passion is stock car racing where he has spent the past 24 years calling the action at over 50 tracks in North America.

“I’m extremely excited about this opportunity and can’t wait to call hockey again,” said Ron St. Clair. “One of my fondest memories as a broadcaster was calling the semi-final game between the Spruce Kings and Camrose Kodiaks that went to a 5th overtime during the 2007 RBC Royal Bank Cup tournament.”

“It’s an honour and a privilege to be associated with the Spruce Kings organization and the BCHL again,” added St. Clair. “I love the style of hockey and look forward to once again bringing the action to Prince George Hockey fans. I’d especially like to thank Ron Gallo and Prince George Motors for their support.”

Ron St. Clair will provide the play-by-play for the game this Saturday September 22nd when the Spruce Kings host the Merritt Centennials in the Prince George Coliseum at 7:30pm.
