WHL UNVEILS DOCUMENTARY SERIES ON SHAW

Press Release CALGARY, AB (September 19, 2012) – This fall, Shaw TV and the Western Hockey League are proud to present WHL Full On, an exciting new original series premiering in October, giving viewers exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the drama, superstitions, routines and passion that is life in the Western Hockey League. Debuting October 29 on Shaw TV stations across Canada, WHL Full On will expose previously unseen aspects of these young player’s lives – the pressures of moving away from home at a young age, the excitement of pursuing their dreams and the drama that unfolds on the ice. Viewers will be given an on- and off-ice glimpse into the lives of the players and personalities that make up the WHL. “WHL Full On brings viewers up close and personal with the team rivalries, up and coming players, life on the bus and other aspects that make up Canada’s national sport,” said Peter Bissonnette, President, Shaw Communications Inc. “Thisis just one of the many programs we’re excited to launch this fall as part of our commitment to delivering quality locally produced content.” WHL Full On will air three times per week starting October 29 as part of a 10-part series – viewers can watch a preview of the program at http://bit.ly/OaOeR1. Hockey fans won’t have to wait to get their hockey fix – the WHL kicks off its season tomorrow night with the Kootenay Ice taking on the Edmonton Oil Kings at 7 p.m. on Shaw TV.
