Blues' Heisinger named MJHL Player of the Week

Press Release

Jake Heisinger of the Winnipeg Blues has been named the MJHL Player of the Week, ending September 30th.

Heisinger, 20, has been a key figure in the Blues’ strong start this season, reflected in a 5-0 record and first-place status in the Addison Division. The Blues’ veteran forward has tallied three goals and seven points in three games.

Manitoba hockey fans will likely recognize the name Heisinger ─ Jake’s father is Craig Heisinger, Senior Vice President & Director, Hockey Operations/Assistant General Manager of the Winnipeg Jets.

The runners up are 20 year old goaltender Justin McDonald of the OCN Blizzard and 19 year old forward Parker Thomas of the Selkirk Steelers.
