Press Release
"This is the perfect partnership," said KCRG Broadcast Product Director Shannon Booth. "KCRG is thrilled to be providing live coverage of Dubuque Fighting Saints hockey again this season. We are committed to serving the Dubuque community and beyond."
This
is the third season the Fighting Saints have partnered with KCRG 9.2 to
televise games. The station first televised games in Dubuque during the
2011 Clark Cup Finals, and partnered with the Fighting Saints to
broadcast five games last season. The five games KCRG 9.2 will televise
this season are part of the Prairie Farms Cowbell Cup, a rivalry series
featuring Dubuque, Cedar Rapids, and Waterloo. Fans in the Tri-State
region will get to see the Fighting Saints battle with Eastern Iowa
rivals Cedar Rapids and Waterloo in all of KCRG 9.2's broadcasts this
season.
"We're excited to once again bring our product to fans
throughout Eastern Iowa thanks to our partners at KCRG 9.2," said
Dubuque Fighting Saints President Dan Lehv. "Our hope is that the
coverage will help to grow our fan-base. The broadcasts will definitely
enhance some key Prairie Farms Cowbell Cup match-ups this season."
Games
KCRG 9.2 will televise during the 2012-13 season are: October 27 vs.
Cedar Rapids, December 1 vs. Cedar Rapids, February 9 vs. Waterloo,
March 16 vs. Cedar Rapids, and April 5 vs. Waterloo.
Radio
broadcasters Zack Fisch and Don Keck will provide commentary for the
KCRG 9.2 broadcasts. The games will be available in the Dubuque area via
Medicom Cable on channels 109 and 115-6, and will stream live at
KCRG.com.
