Lee Commits to the University of Massachusetts

The Brooks Bandits are proud to announce 18 year old Forward Patrick Lee has committed to play for the University of Massachusetts.  Located in Amherst, Massachusetts, the “Minutemen” play in Hockey East under Head Coach John Micheletto.

Patrick is from Calgary, AB and played with the Calgary Royals Association before joining the Bandits in 2011.  Since coming to the Bandits he has been noted as a fan favorite for his offensive skill and creativity.  As a rookie last season he scored 9 goals and 23 assists for 32 points while earning an AJHL Championship.  Patrick has also been recognized by Hockey Canada with his recent appointment to the Team Canada West Camp for the World Junior A Challenge.

Head Coach/GM Ryan Papaioannou, “We were fortunate enough to have a great scout in Calgary that led us in Patty’s direction.  He has been nothing but positive for our organization over the last 14 months.  The development of his game has come quite far and he will only continue to grow as a player.  Pat is very committed to the game and we are more than happy to have him here with us in Brooks.”
The Bandits Organization would like to congratulate Patrick and his Family on his athletic and academic future.
Patrick is the first Bandit of the 2012 – 2013 season to commit to the NCAA.
