Slammers acquire Keaton Lubin

Press Release

The Woodstock Slammers have acquired defenseman Keaton Lubin from the Okotoks Oilers of the AJHL for future considerations.

The six foot and 200 pound defenseman has spent the past two seasons with Calgary Hitmen and Regina Pats of the WHL and time with the Okotols Oilers of the AJHL. In Lubin the Slammers have acquired a defenseman that has particpated in the World U-17 tournament with a bronze medal finish and was a third round pick in 2009 Bantam draft.

"Keaton has always been described as defenseman that can contribute offensively. Keaton is a big body that moves the puck very well, competes hard and is a player that can play physical game. We have always been an offensively minded hockey team and Keaton will fit in with our style of play I believe. Keaton is excited about the move and will be joining on us on Monday. Sometimes players just need a fresh start in a new setting. As a staff we're happy with securing a player of Keaton's ability" commented Head Coach Jason Tatarnic.
