SOURCE EMBROIDERY POWER RANKINGS

Press Release

 1-YORKTON TERRIERS (9-1-0-1) ... 2ND last week
Terriers showed they are for real by knocking Bombers from undefeated ranks and look more impressive with each passing game.
2-HUMBOLDT BRONCOS (8-2-1-1) ... 4th last week
Forget trying to beat this team, who have won seven straight, just scoring a goal against them has to be a moral victory of sorts for opponents.
3-MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES (9-2-0-1)...3rd last week
Mils are on a 6-0-0-and-1 streak of their own and starting to tighten up defensively.
4-FLIN FLON BOMBERS (9-3-0-0)...1st last week
Unfortunately their south road trip also means their ranking goes south as they were just 1-and-3 last week.
5-NIPAWIN HAWKS (5-3-0-1)...5th last week
Hawks have reeled off three wins in a row as the North Division tighten up.
6-NOTRE DAME HOUNDS (5-3-0-2)...9th last week
Back to the old adage that defense wins hockey games.  The Hounds are living proof of that.
7-BATTLEFORDS NORTH STARS (4-5-0-0)...8th last week
No slumps, but no hot streaks yet for the North Stars.
8-KINDERSLEY KLIPPERS (5-6-1-0)...7th last week
Klippers suffered through a winless three game week, let’s see how they respond to their first down spell of the season.
9-MELFORT MUSTANGS (5-7-0-0)...6th last week
Thursday night, they showed glimpses of last year’s Mustangs.  Not good.  The bright side is they are showing signs of battling through nights when they don’t have their best.
10-ESTEVAN BRUINS (3-7-2-0)...11th last week
They just about turned the corner Friday night, but lost in OT to Flin Flon.  They did beat the Wings on Sunday.
11-LA RONGE ICE WOLVES (3-8-0-2)...10th last week
Ice Wolves on a three game slide, but they didn’t get blown out of the death valley known as the Melville-Yorkton swing.
12-WEYBURN RED WINGS (3-10-0-0)...12th last week
An offensive explosion against Flin Flon on Saturday, but they couldn’t keep it going against Estevan on Sunday.
WHO’S HOT

Ryan Ostertag, Weyburn (6-5-7-12)
A new home has worked out well for Ostertag.
Miguel Pereira, Weyburn (5-2-10-12)
A big six point night has propelled flashy Pereira into league scoring lead.
Cody Pongracz, Humboldt (3-3-3-6)
Supplying plenty of offense on a defensively tight team.
John Lawrence, Humboldt (6-6-5-11)
Has emerged with Pongracz as the top offensive performers on hot Broncos.
Lucas Froese, Melville (7-6-3-9)
Mils captain not known for offense, but enjoying a breakout season.
Luke Lee Knight, Humboldt (2-0, 2 SO, 61-saves)
Back to back shutouts for WHL vet this past week.
Ty Reichenbach, Notre Dame (1-0-0-1, 1.44, .951)
Hounds don’t need to score much with performances like his this past week.
Davis Jones, Nipawin (3-0, 2.32, .938)
Last year’s top goalie is heating up.
