SWYRIPA LOST TO WRIST INJURY

Lethbridge, AB. – The Brandon Wheat Kings have lost veteran forward Jason Swyripa to a wrist injury.

The 19-year old Calgary product, who is currently in his third season with the Western Hockey League club suffered the injury in Tuesday’s come from behind 7-6 victory over the Tigers in Medicine Hat, and will be lost indefinitely.

The club has confirmed that he will undergo further tests with doctors in Calgary on Thursday. More will be learned at that time.

A former second round bantam pick of the Wheat Kings, Swyipra had two goals and five points in ten games this season. In 148 career games, the former Calgary UFA AAA midget Buffalo has 43 points, including 26 goals.
