The Barrie Colts have announced today that they have completed a trade with the Saginaw Spirit.
The Barrie Colts send forward Gregg Sutch to Saginaw.
In exchange the Colts receive Saginaw’s 5th round pick in 2015.
Gregg Sutch was originally drafted by the Sarnia Sting in the 1st round (11th
overall). Barrie acquired Sutch from the Mississauga St. Michael’s
Majors Aug 19, 2011 for a third round pick and a conditional
third-rounder. Sutch was Drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the 5th round
(143rd overall) in 2010. Sutch was not signed by the Sabres and was not
chosen in the 2012 NHL Draft. He is now a free agent.
Gregg Sutch will now join his 4th OHL team. He played 57
games for Barrie with 9 goals and 12 assists for 21 points. Sutch also
appeared in 10 playoff games for Barrie in the 2011-2012 season.
In 213 career games in the OHL Sutch has 72 points and 276 penalty minutes.
