Press Release
Scott Safety Supply Services Ltd partnering with the Whitecourt
Wolverines announced that the Stanley Cup will be paying a visit to
Whitecourt on October 27th!
The ultimate prize in hockey will be part of the "Hall of Fame" weekend
which will see the NHL Hall of Fame in Whitecourt for 2 days beginning
on Friday October 26th.
20 exhibits will be on display at the Allen & Jean Millar Centre
along with 4 NHL Trophies. In addition, hockey enthusiasts of all ages
will have a chance to try out thier "pro" skills with the NHL inter
active games that will also be in place.
The Hall of Fame weekend will also see the Wolverines at home hosting
back to back games against North Division rivals, the Lloydminster
Bobcats.
Team President Brent Stark commented on the planned weekend, "This is
Scott Safety's way of saying thank you to all that have supported the
Wolverines over the last 6 years. We have the greatest support here in
Whitecourt along with the greatest fans of the game and we wanted to
show our gratitude for everything they have allowed us to do. The only
way we could think to do that in a way equal to the support was to get
the greatest trophy in Canada here for the kids to see it up close".
Through the sponsorship, Scott Safety made the condition that all
proceeds go to the Whitecourt Minor Hockey Association in support of
thier development programs.
Scott Safety and the Whitecourt Wolverines are proud to make this event possible for the fans of the game at every level.
