Swift Current Broncos General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb, has announced that the club has signed forward Jake DeBrusk to a Western Hockey League contract.
DeBrusk was selected in the 7th round, 137th overall, by the Broncos in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft. The 5'6", 130-pound product of Edmonton, AB has recorded 18 points (9-9-18) in 14 games played with the SSAC Athletics of the AMHL so far this season.
“He has had a very good start to his season,” states Assistant General Manager & Director of Player Personnel, Jamie Porter. “We were all disappointed when he got hurt during training camp as we couldn’t get a true evaluation of his progression, but we have been very impressed with how his game has evolved and we believe he will be strong competition to compete for a spot on our roster next year.”
