Clips 'tender Argue proves case for POW honours

Nanaimo Clippers goalie Jayson Argue has been named the Gongshow BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 10, the league announced Monday.

Argue led the Clips to a pair of 2-1 wins over the Cowichan Valley Capitals, including one in overtime, and made 71 saves on 73 shots along the way.

The 19-year-old Swan River, Man. native was named 2nd Star both nights and made 38 saves in the overtime win. He posted a .972 save percentage and a 0.94 goals-against average as the Clips moved to within a point of first-place Victoria Grizzlies.
