Cranbrook, BC –
Jeff Chynoweth, General Manager of the Kootenay ICE Hockey Club, today
announced the Club has traded for 19-year-old Forward Zach McPhee from
the Everett Silvertips in exchange for a conditional seventh round draft
pick in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft.
“With our need to add bodies to our roster we felt
Zach would be a great fit. He is a veteran player who will bring size
and versatility to our line up with his ability to play both centre and
right wing,” added Chynoweth
As a result of today's transaction, the ICE have 23
players on their roster, including two goalies, seven defensemen and 14
forwards. Of those players, there are two 1992 born players, four 1993
born players, seven 1994 born players, eight 1995 born players and two
1996 born players.
The next home action for the ICE will be tonight as
they host the Saskatoon Blades at 7:00 pm. Tickets are available at the
Kootenay ICE Office or by calling 250-417-0322.
